Weddings, Coffee, Birthdays, and Thanksgiving

Weddings, Coffee, Birthdays, and Thanksgiving

Written by: Kenzie

Well, it’s been a while guys! I have no excuse other than we’ve been super busy helping with a wedding for a family member! It was somewhat stressful but also super fun!

I made TWO wedding cakes and 220 cookies as wedding favors that Callie printed off custom stickers for the packaging. We also hauled up quite a bit of our wedding rental items and set up a big charcuterie table for cocktail hour. This past week consisted of all the prep for that and then ended with a weekend trip to the small town of Kenney, TX to put it all together! We stayed in a super cute Airbnb that was very peaceful and the whole thing made for a fun weekend getaway.

On top of that, Brad and I have been brainstorming for Christmas ideas for the coffee cart! I want to decorate the cart (fingers crossed he’ll let me) and put out some new merch and a few new flavors for coffee syrups as well. It’s always fun putting our creativity to work and seeing what we can come up with and it’s also fun seeing Brad out there slinging coffee shots darn near every day! I probably don’t tell him enough but I’m proud of how far the cart has come and all the work he puts in to keep growing.

Second to lastly, Thanksgiving is only two days away! I am super excited and actually love that me, Callie, and Mom typically take the reins and do most of the cooking. The family always helps out though and we all gather around our grandma’s table and it’s cozy and delicious. I’ll share what we’re having here for anyone that’s interested!

And lastly, my birthday is this Saturday! We’re planning on having cake (which I have yet to bake or even decide what to bake!) on Friday so we can spend the day Saturday at the Texas Renaissance Festival and stay for the fire show and fireworks in the evening which is one of my favorite parts.

I hope everyone is enjoying this season as much as I am and keeping as busy as you’d like to be and relaxing when you can!
